Parow Park
Parow Park, (Duiwe Hokke), Northern Suburbs, Cape Town is a housing community for about 3000 racially integrated less privileged residents. Due to poverty, drugs, teenage pregnancies, school drop-outs, domestic violence, substance abuse and addiction and sexual crimes are common.
We have been active in the community for about nine (9) years, especially with the junior and senior girls joining our weekly programs. We teach them social skills, spiritual values, how to maintain healthy relationships, but most of all: we encourage them to dream and to protect their God-given sexuality.
Our prime expenses are to fill the empty tummies and provide treats and rewards for good behavior. In spite of the challenges, seeing them growing up with sound values are very rewarding!
Counselling
As we are trauma counsellors, we also do crisis pregnancy counselling, deep inner healing counselling and spiritual (Christian) counselling.
Sexual abuse has such destructive consequence in a young girl's life and we encourage the victims to report the perpetrators in order to remove them from society.
